What is Beijing Chinese-study Tour?

Beijing Chinese-study tour is a program operated by BeijingChineseLanguageSchool. This program is different from regular courses in that it is aimed specially at foreign students who are keen to experience Chinese culture and customs within a limited time period (usually during the spring holidays or summer vacation). Its main purpose is to help students learn Chinese through real-life experiences in China. We encourage language practice outside the classroom. Rather than teaching, we focus on language transfer. The program is located in the north of Beijing very close to the 2008 Olympic Village site. We do provide comfortable accommodation and complete facilities.

What unique experiences can Beijing Chinese-study Tour offer?

Students of the study tour will not only attend courses in classrooms, but also go to Chinese homes to make Chinese friends and experience the real life of Chinese people, They will also view famous scenic spots and historic sites around China, and bargain for goods at Chinese markets. In addition, they will be introduced to all kinds of traditional Chinese arts, such as acrobatics, Beijing opera, making clay-and-bread figurines and paper cutting.

Chinese Course

Studying Chinese in its place of origin; practicing your conversation skills around the city; being able to communicate in very little time. BCLS’ language course is the important starting point for your Chinese study tour.

Culture Course

The Chinese civilization has a rich history of over 5,000 years. Traditional painting and calligraphy embody the essence of Chinese culture; Kung Fu and acrobatics demonstrate the spirit of the Chinese people; the tea and food culture provide an insight into a very different way of living.

Language Practice

There are no better places than the lively streets of Beijing to practice Chinese. Bargaining at the market and ordering dishes in restaurants will create a vivid impression of China.

Sightseeing

Beijing is a city brimming with energy as modern buildings spring up overnight. But, as the center of Chinese history, much of “Old Beijing” remains. The Forbidden City and Great Wall are world renowned, the Summer Palace offers peaceful lakes and temples and strolling around the “hutongs” is often the highlight of a visit to the capital.

1. Free Chinese level test before the start of the class.
2. 30 minutes free trial class is available.
3. There is an enrollment fee 100 RMB.
4. Tuition fee does not include the cost of textbooks.
5. For the class taken out of school, transportation fee is charged according to the distance. (Inside 3-ring road: 20 Yuan, outside 3-ring road: 30 Yuan+)
6. There is an exam at the middle and the end of each level.
